When I looked at " what is a heredity?" I learned that there were 23 chromosomes in a human body. I also learned that heredity is what you inherit from your parents. Genes encodes instructions that make our traits. When I looked at " What is a trait" I learned that there are two different types of traits physical and behavioral traits. Behavioral trait is the characteristics of how people act. Physical trait is the person's physical appearance.

Owl Pellets

When we were dissecting owl pellets I noticed there were bunch of hairs and bones inside the pellets. When we started to separate the bones and the hairs into two piles. After that we started putting the bones into a diagram. We were done we learned that some of the bones were missing because sometimes they were crushed into little pieces. I learned that owl and other birds have to regurgitate in order to eat again. Another interesting fact I learned is that owl regurgitate 1 time every day. Other than that I learned that owl pellets are ecosystems because they create hiding spots and food for moths and beetles. This is what I learned about owl pellets

Superearth found near us
This article talks about how a super-earth( exoplanet) was found nearby and estimated to contain 75% of water. The super-earth is about 10 times the size of earth and is 40 light years away. This planet was found because of a project of finding exoplanets that are close to the characteristics of earth. If it is close to the characteristics it is called the goldilocks zone. I think this is not useful because even though we could live there we could not go there in a instant because it is 40 light years. It would take 40 years even though if we travel light speed. So far they have found 413 exoplanets that are in the goldilocks zone. Most of the planets are very hot and are 200 times hotter than our planet. Also this exoplanet has a atmosphere that is similar to our atmosphere. In addition it is the first planet that is close enough to study its atmosphere. This planet may contain plants and organisms because it has the right temperature and contains 75% of water.
